The scent is very woody earthy and of course cedar smelling and has been used traditionally by many tribes of Native Americans. The name Etzanoa comes from the lost Native American city that was recently rediscovered where Innercense is located. We thought it would be fitting to include this traditional scent named after our very own lost Native American city.
Description
Etzanoa Incense is crafted from the female tips and blue berries of the Virginia Juniper, also known as Eastern Red Cedar. The plant material is carefully dried and ground, making it easy to burn on charcoal while preserving its natural character.
Cedar has a long history of ceremonial use. It is often referred to as the Tree of Life and has traditionally been burned in purification rituals and sweat lodges, as well as used to cleanse an area. When burned, Etzanoa releases a woody, earthy cedar aroma that is unmistakably natural and grounded.
The name Etzanoa comes from a lost Native American city that was recently rediscovered in the same region where Innercense is located. This incense reflects that connection to land, history, and traditional practice—simple, purposeful, and rooted in place.
This is not a blended or perfumed incense. It is a single-source, plant-based material, prepared to be used the same way cedar has been used for generations.
